Riaan de Lange – Lead Technical Consultant
Riaan is the Lead Technical Consultant for the Cape Town team, where he develops and consults on enterprise platforms for corporate clients. He tries to find simplistic answers to complicated problems by using his years of experience in IT, as well as bouncing ideas off his team. He also assists the team in post go-live projects.
Riaan started his career on a 486 PC, writing applications from an early age in Pascal, and skilling up to be an IT technician and network administrator. In 2007 he joined Lonmin Platinum, administrating GIS and CAD based applications. Thereafter he worked as a Systems Analyst for various other companies before joining Altech Netstar and developing integration between business systems and post go-live with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 plugins, SDK and consumer portals. Riaan has since skilled up on all versions of CRM, developing in C# and deploying software into Azure and Office 365, which led him to join Vicitude.
@Riaan: Software engineering and machine learning are among my top interests at the moment and I have ambitions of becoming a software architect for future technologies. I really enjoy writing efficient code, reading other developers’ code and assist where I can. I also enjoy answering questions on StackOverflow and contribute code to open-source projects.
Riaan enjoys exploring the Boland wine farms and craft breweries in his past time. He also likes spending time in nature and when he gets the chance he partakes in running events. His hobbies include playing online games, as well as practicing his cooking skills. Riaan is a big supporter of rapidly growing technologies like cryptocurrencies and fibre optic internet.
